Cat health and Raw Diets

,

Cats are categorically hygiene-conscious animals. The constant cleaning or washing using their tongue is a clear indication that they are capable of grooming themselves. For cat breeds with long hair, it is helpful to use a comb when brushing. Also, use talcum powder to dry clean their fur. Regular grooming will minimize hair loss and hair balls.

Cat claws should be kept short to minimize scratching injuries and damages to household furniture. When clipping the claws, do not forget the inner covering of the front feet. When it comes to bathing, be sure to dry your cat with a towel. You can also use a blower to ease up the drying process.

Cats are not categorically picky pets. They don't necessarily need extra beds. A cat will find a place convenient to its needs if given a choice. They will appreciate soft boxes or cat beds to sleep on. Ideally, cat beds should be settled in a dark, quiet angle in a closet or basement. There are five types of cat beds. These are:

- Wicker baskets

- Plastic baskets

- Donut cat beds

- Cat hammocks

- Cat igloo beds

Some pet cats result their owners like puppies. They hop on their lap whenever they are seated for a duration of time.

Furthermore, a cat carrier can come in handy should you go out of your home with your pet. Of course, exercise is very important to them. In that regard, you should know what choices you have when it comes to carriers. There are three basic types of cat carriers agreeing to the materials used. These are:

- Card Board carrier

- Soft carrier

- Hard carrier

When it comes to feeding, cats are carnivores. Thousands of years ago, when cats were not yet domesticated, they mainly survive by feeding on raw diets. They are known to prey on little animals, and this provides the high protein and high calorie diet they need. Remember that adult cats require 20% of protein in their diet. Fresh water should also be given to them frequently.

Unlike humans, the acidity of a cat's stomach is relatively high. agreeing to statistics, most wild cats die from severe injuries rather than from food poisoning. The "raw" diet of cats usually include birds, small mammals, insects, snakes and other reptiles, fish and other types of rodents. They also like chicken, liver, kidney, heart and muscle meats. However, cat owners still need to keep an eye on the quantity of their intake.

When feeding your cat, make sure that the meat you are about to give is warm and fresh. Cats are not fond of eating frosty food. To keep the meat warm, simply defrost it a night before. Do not use the microwave when defrosting since it will be cooked from the inside. Food should be served in shallow or flat dishes. The meat should be in small portions, if possible, because cats do not want their food to stick to their noses while eating.

Like humans, cat's health is dependent on their food and hygiene. Bathe them usually and keep their dishes clean. In case you are too busy to put in order a balanced diet for your cat, a raw diet is a good way to suffice its nutrition.
